Sear, the sixth of ten siblings, was born in Kabul, Afghanistan on May 26th 1976 in an educated, moderate, and caring family. His father was an architectural designer in Afghanistan before immigrating along with his family to Canada in 1991. Sear began to exhibit artistic abilities at an early age. From his humble beginnings his father noticed his talent in music and encouraged him to pursue it seriously. After graduating from Downsview Secondary High School in Toronto, he joined Humber College to take his passion to the next level by studying music to build solid foundations for his dream career and to be able to bridge it into realm of reality by learning the fundamentals through rigorous formal education. Born in a non-musical family, it was his sheer self-motivation, passion and dedication in his destined career that made him a mega success selling thousands of CD's and DVD's. "I am thankful to God for the gift he has given me that allows me to communicate to the world through my music" says Sear who possesses a strong conviction to transcend beyond entertainment factor of music to propagate the message of peace, happiness, love, and unity as well.

He has been very cautious to keep his originality, creativity, and uniqueness in his music. Besides, he is gifted with versatility in a wide spectrum of music genres such as classical, contemporary, alternative, pop, rock, ghazal, folklore and etc.va

His concerts, songs and their DVD's have caused jubilant uproar worldwide resulting in numerous sold-out concerts in major cities. His concert in Virginia on June 1st 2002 brought to the limelight this young artist's ever-present persona, mastery of his art, and unquenchable desire to bring the best out of him and the audience in attendance. This concert's remarkable success led to a second sold-out concert in Virginia on August 17th 2002 due to an overwhelming volume of requests from his die-hard fans.

His song Laily, a fusion of Central Asian and Arabic melodies, which hit the airwaves across North America, Europe, Australia, Afghanistan and its neighboring countries was well received. Its video went on air on Afghan's cable and satellite TVs - earning him a broad base of keen audience and loyal fans across the globe due to the frenzy it created. Laily has been a defining milestone for his career and upcoming projects.

He has embarked on various bold and unprecedented projects such as the upcoming cruise concert in Vancouver, BC, in Princess Harbour Cruise on Aug 19th 2006. It will be a remarkable and thrilling night in cruise ship sailing through the adorable sceneries in the magnificent waters of BC to enjoy Sear's live concert including songs from his long awaited upcoming album Faryad. Sear is also looking forward to be launching an international tour of Europe, US, and especially Afghanistan. He wants to travel to Afghanistan for charity concerts. Through which he hopes to be able to make a difference in less fortunate people's life by donating all the proceeds generated by his concerts in Afghanistan to urchins, orphans, widows and the war affected people. It is genuinely an indication of his profuse affection for his people, country, and humble roots.
